The Toys R Us effort is one of the earliest to hit our screens – but what’s in it and what did they have last year?
When was the Toys R Us Christmas advert released and what’s in it?
The Toys R Us Christmas advert for 2017 was unveiled on November 3.
Previous efforts have featured families arriving at the store by car.
However, this time around we see Santa visit the store on his sleigh, with the story told using Pixar-esque animation.
Unfortunately, his trusty reindeer are distracted by all the goodies on offer at the toy superstar, throwing Christmas into jeopardy.
Luckily, Geoffrey the Giraffe (who runs the store) is on hand to step up and help Father Christmas complete his task.
Brand: Toys R Us
Agency: The Corner
Campaign: Geoffrey the Part Time Reindeer
Release: November 2017
Toys R Us recently announced it has a payment scheme that lets you spread out the cost of presents over a maximum of 12 weeks – perfect for the expensive Christmas period.
What was last year’s Toys R Us Christmas advert?
Last year Toys R Us choirs sang the catchy song “It’s a Magical Place” for their Christmas offering.
The advert was produced by Nick Hancock and featured various choir groups singing the tune.
After staff dancing in jumpers and costumed kids joining in, the advert concluded with a large group singing on the stage of the Royal Hall in Harrogate.
